Welcome to my channel! Working with automobiles and bikes is a life-long passion for me. I enjoy restoring vehicles and motorcycles, building café racers, and working with restomods. My main auto-make preferences that you will see on this channel are Porsches, BMWs, and Mitsubishis. One vehicle I am proud to share with you is a hybrid of a Porsche 911 and a Mitsubishi Evolution! When I am not working on motorized vehicles and motorcycles, I spend my time building and racing BMX bikes on dirt tracks. And if that’s not enough to keep you entertained, I also provide reviews for the tools and equipment I use in my garage every day. So subscribe now and enjoy the plethora of projects I have to share!

Knowledge IS Power! Pennocks Fiero forum for all you search questions. Pretty certain your issue was the clutch ignition safety switch. Did not need to waste your time tearing apart the steering column. Good luck with the project. Looking forward to updates.
Thanks for the info!
Very good 👍. 😊
Thank you
I miss my old Fiero on the regular😪 I had done a bunch of work on it but a young family and 2 seats don't make good dance partners. One day I'll find another and make it my summer car😎 Enjoy your little go-kart fella🤙
They are fun cars, try and get one now why they are still affordable
Love my 88 formula, just gotta finish the engine and im set.
I can’t wait to get this thing going. Going to be fun to drive
Iconic? Pontiacs biggest mistake! LOL
Your not wrong lol
Biggest mistake letting it die off.
YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE HEATER BLOWER MOTOR AND CLEAR OUT THE CRAP FROM THE HEATER BOX!!!! THIS IS REAL IMPORTANT!!!! In a Fiero the crap off the windshield ends up in the heater blower box. The problem is the resistors for the fan get red hot. This happens when the fan is on and the speed is at anything but HIGH. The resistors knock down the voltage. They get hot and THEY WILL start the crap in your heater box on fire. Under the front hood take out the blower motor - It's quite easy - reach in and clean out all the crap. Do this BEFORE your Fiero starts on fire!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the heads up really appreciate that.
Nice 55! I Ran into similar issues with my brothers 55 Nomad. Had to upgrade to special headers to allow the steering rod to fit. I'm doing my 56 Nomad with a 500 power steering box this week. We'll see how that goes. Don't need to spend the money on exhaust upgrades at this time. I like the rack I put in on my brothers, really works nice. Hope my Power steering box upgrade works as good. Keep up the good content.
Good find
Thank you
Would you or your friend that was on his pit crew be able to help me track down his mountain spring hood from his 97 pepsi 400 crash? I have a pic with it when i was about 10 years at his shop on rolling hills rd in mooresville. My incle bought the tire and wheel its in the pic as well but itd be awesome if you guys could help! Thanks and its awesome to see his cars are still out there! Great video and story sir!
Did you take the bushing out first?
this is pretty cool, that paint scheme on that car you have is 96, based off the 50th anniversary Tide logo . scholar.lib.vt.edu/VA-news/ROA-Times/issues/1996/rt9604/960409/04090077.htm
I have a1996 black 750il v12 sitting in my driveway. It ran when it was parked. It belonged to my deceased brother. It's totally complete and a beautiful car. Last time I rode in it he showed me that it had no government on the engine. It easily hit 180mph. Took a few to get there but it did and it felt like it still had more balls! The wheels on it are BMW wheels but they are offset. Looks just like Tupac's last lift.
They are truly awesome cars, you should get back on the road and enjoy it. I’m sure your brother had a some from ear to ear when driving it. I know I did. I have a 1999 740i Sport, it belonged to a famous person that I was friends with, he passed away 13 years ago and I got his car. I drove it for 8 years till the motor went. I have another friend painting it now, should be done real soon. I’ll be doing some cool work to it real soon. I have the same wheels you are talking about. Stay tuned for that video
I haven’t watched all your videos but is/was the car Signal Orange? I’ve just finished mine - took ten years!! All the best from 🇦🇺
Car was Sepia Brown
It was chocolate brown
Your thoughts about acid/chemical dipping the whole car?
I would do it, comes out amazing and saves so much time. It is pricey especially if you have to have it towed hours and hours to a place.
Make a Camaro playlist please.
Doing it now, thanks for the request
@@RustyRatchetGarage yesss 🙌
Oh no that car was so significant in making me a NASCAR fan I was there that day in Loudon, New Hampshire, sitting in the bleachers behind the finish line, watching Dale Earnhardt, trying to chase down Ricky Rudd in the final lapse of the race to no avail that was the day I became a NASCAR fan that was the day I became a dale Earnhardt fan and honestly he didn’t win. Many races finally got fed up and became a Jeff Gordon fan because he was winning all the races
I loved that Tide car. My good friend grew up with Ricky Rudd when Ricky starts he was his pit crew along with Ricky’s father and brother
"there's a car comin you got to stop em" "whatdya want me to do step in effin front of him?"
Talked red 944's ,you may enjoy our car 😊😊😊😊 ua-cam.com/video/FFkLmIG7JR8/v-deo.htmlsi=vXwM5uoE-WT2UIqK
Watching this because I got a 79 GL100 that hasn't run since 1994
I'm planning on replacing my dash pad on a 1984 Porsche 911. Is it possible without removing the windshield? How many hours do you think it would take?
Yes it is very possible I did it, just be very careful with the plastic clips by the windshield. No more then 3 hours total
back in the day, I sat in these cars new at our local chevy lot and the one thing I loved was the dual exhaust hanging by the rear end
That's awesome to see we need more of this ive made three in the past a 95 camry ,04 grand am and a 2011 Aveo all my car-trucks were highmilage under $200 time bombs 😂 camry last long at 320,000 rust got it . Yaris is good choice for this hopefully it's a Manual ,I want to car truck a mirage sedan next with a 5 speed 😂
I love seeing stuff like this
Nice 55 need to polish those wheels and she would really look good
Thank you, I know the last stuff I used did not work well. Looking for some good polish.
My first car was a 76 Camaro, sold it when my oldest was born and have wanted another ever since and I just a 81, It not the same model year, color or engine, mine was a 76 RS, it was yellow with Biege interior and had a 350, this one is a base 81, it's Blue with Silver interior and it's a got a 4.1L 250 strait six in it but after looking for 20 plus years for a 2nd gen that I could actually afford I don't care about any of that, It does need a paint job so I might change the color and they seats need some work where the seams have come apart so I MIGHT just dye them and the dash brown also but the engine was trans and rear end was just rebuilt so I'm not touching them. Plus I got it in a package deal with a 2001 2 Grand-Am for my 12 year old grandson when he turns 16.
My 1st car was a 76 also, it bought fire at votech. We sprayed under coating underneath and it got on the cat. Well that was the end of that. I loved my 81 Z28. These cars are addictive. Hopefully you get to drive and enjoy your car with your grandson. Thanks for watching
@@RustyRatchetGarage Yep, not many of us who's first car was a 76 Camaro, I was High-School from 87-90 so there were ALOT of 70's cars in my high school parking lot, by the mid 80's they had become the "hand me down" car to the first new driver, my Gf had a 75 Chevelle that her aunt bought new, My best friend had 79 Nova that his step-dad got as a partial payment for some work he did on a guys car, I bought my car for $500 from my next door neighbor who got married and was moving to Texas with her new husband and no longer needed the car, there were alot of others with similar stories.
👍😎
Nice to see you up and at it on the 911T. Keep it coming. :)
Thank you, next video I will have a lot more done .
Thanks for the video. I couldn't see in the video if the car still had the trunk drop offs or if they needed to be replaced. If so I'm curious if you're doing it before you permanently weld the quarters on or after?
Thanks for watching, I getting ready to weld the quarters in next week, finally got the car on all 4 wheels. It’s looking like I might be welding them in after the quarter is welded in. But not 100% yet
Great work, regards from Norway!
Thank you, and thank you Norway
👍👍
Thank you
Porschsubishi
Cool name lol
You got me inspired I want a 911 and 997 4g can’t wait
Glad I was able to inspire you, 996 is a really good car also I had 2 of them. If you do get one I would be glad to help
Was it as loud as he makes it out to be?
It was very load yes
I worked on a Porsche that had flashing lights like that. It was a corroded fuse, those pointed fuses get corrosion on the ends and it causes a lot of funny problems. Just use some fine sandpaper and do the ends of every fuse also clean the fuse holder terminals, it will fix a lot of issues.
Yes they do, I used a fine wire brush on mine dipping it in vinegar, worked great
Those codes are cam and crank sensor , some builds will have those codes when the engine is not running
Hmmmm interesting, for years I never had them now can’t get rid of them. Does not effect any performance at all
@@RustyRatchetGarage Hmm then maybe you shouldn't have them. I would look at the wiring diagram and see what they share. A bad connection maybe.
Good to see the stuff under the trunk, and all the gauges.
Thanks, I realized I really never did a video of everything on the Porschubishi
First comment
First response lol, thanks for watching the video
Can't believe I have already watched this video 408 times.
Wow, glad you are enjoying the video, I should have the other one out this time next week
Battle scars.
lol I get those every day ugh
Did you get it running
Gotta watch the other videos lol
Most if not all Porsche parts, odd is left even is right
I figured that out about 6 months later lol
looks really good
Thank you
Yoooo that thing looks so damn cool 😎
I know right
dude, your welds are super cold, turn up that voltage and wire speed. You also have loads of porosity.
stock cb carbs need cleaning out at the very least if it hasnt run in years/decades... the jets get blocked and float needles dont seat properly... 1st is to check compression, then spark, then carbs
doing good, look into panel bonding adhesive by 3M ,I have used the product in many areas instead of welding , non structural areas ,floor pan overlap , rockers, window channel is a perfect place, places that warp , or combination of the two , when done ,, don't fuck up and try to undo it, that's not happening, you will destroy the panel trying to separate ,they have different dry times.
Thank you, I was actually thinking about panel bond for the quarter panel where it meets the outer wheel well. Figured it should be a lot easier, I hope lol
Looking good! It wasnt to long ago I was doing the same repairs on my car.
Thank you, how is your car coming along
Enjoying the progress!
Thank you
Holy crap 😳 youre gonna blow that poor vette up!! Better hand the keys 🗝️ to me 😢
lol I pulled the motor and trans and sold it
The Duralast MAS sensors are revamped and make a noticeable improvement in throttle response
Yeah the distributor acts as a crank trigger of sorts
I think the ignition control module in the distributor would be the crank trigger
